Our Class A Motorhome Gets a Flat Tow

On New Year's Eve, our class a motorhome broke down. Because there was a problem with our rear axle, smoking and maybe a little fire, we had to get it flat towed. It took a few days to find someone to flat tow our RV. Hooray for breaking down on a holiday! But here's our house being dragged up onto a truck. The way this truck works is kind of crazy. The rear wheels slide forward and then the ramp lowers. Once the RV was on, the wheels slid back and the ramp raised back in place. Also, if you can swing a flat tow for your RV, that's totally the way to go. We've heard horror stories about people having their RVs towed and all their stuff coming out of their cabinets. When we got in the RV not a thing was out of place. And that dude was hauling ass. We know because we were behind him in the car and never caught up.
