Hallmarking is an ancient form of consumer protection dating back to the 14th century. The London Assay Office at the Goldsmiths' Company was the first home of hallmarking in the UK. As part of the Coronation celebrations, the Goldsmiths' Company has created a limited-edition Coronation Hallmark.
