‎Old Bearing Ball To Straight Shaving Razor ‎ ‎In this project I transformed an old bearing ball into a strong and beautiful straight shaving razor. ‎First I heated the bearing ball in fire until the steel became soft and workable. After heating I used a hammer to forge it into the basic shape of a razor blade. Once the rough shape was formed I refined and shaped it using a grinder to achieve a clean and sharp blade profile. ‎After shaping and grinding I reheated the razor and quenched it in water to harden the steel. This heat treatment process increased the hardness strength and edge retention of the blade. ‎Once the hardening process was complete I fitted a handle to the razor. To make the handle stronger and more attractive I added copper wire wrapping as part of the design. After that I used a grinder again to smooth and finish the handle properly. ‎Finally I tested the razor and the experiment was successful.
