【HONG KONG UNESCO GLOBAL GEOPARK】 A FILM BY KELVIN YUEN 「我有幸成為地質公園的合作攝影師，以全新的藝術風格來展示整個地質公園區域的景觀，耗時兩年，獨自完成整個系列的相片及影片。很多人覺得，過去疫情兩年困在香港，無法看到世界級的風光，但一直忽略了自己居住的地方。我遊歷世界上這麼多地方，香港地質公園在我心目中一直擁有很重要的位置，還一直吸引我在過去數年不斷前住拍攝，原因是這區本質上是具有拍攝作品級數的元素。」 ‘I was fortunate to be appointed as the official partner photographer of the Hong Kong Geopark. The given task was to show the landscape of the entire geopark area with a new artistic approach. It took me two years to complete both the photos and videos. Many people feel that the epidemic has trapped us down in Hong Kong for the past two years, and we cannot see any world-class scenery locally. They have neglected all the beautiful scenery in the place where we live. I have traveled to so many places globally; the Hong Kong Geopark has always held a most significant position in my mind. It has also attracted me to keep returning to photograph in the past few years. This area has all the essential elements to capture beautiful photographs.’ 「過去兩年，我到訪地質公園內每一個小島勘景，每個月都有二十多天在這裡探索及拍攝，由冬季拍到夏季，再由夏季拍到冬季，帶備沉重的器材走過無數山嶺，受盡蚊叮蟲咬，我也不知道如何文字來形容。每一條影片內都是無可量化的付出拍攝出來的作品，每一段的影片都追求極致的拍攝條件來呈現最震撼的一面。一次又一次重複走著同一的山路，帶著相同的器材，不斷到訪同一位置，重複相同的流程，直至達到要求，盡能力把一切做到極致。」 ‘In the past two years, I visited all the islands in the geopark. I spent more than 20 days exploring and shooting there every month, from winter to summer, and then from summer to winter, with a heavy load of equipment. I have visited numerous mountains and suffered countless mosquitoes. I am lost in words if I had to describe those hardships. I took every single shot with unquantifiable effort. Every image pursues and consumes the ultimate shooting conditions presented to create the most excellent outcome. I repeatedly walk the same mountain road, again and again. I carry the same equipment and visit the exact location again and again until I have achieved all my requirements.
