What an experience! This level is so cool and it was very exciting to go into it not really knowing what to expect since not many people have played it. I had a little goal of being the first Canadian victor and that is partially what motivated me to pick this as my next extreme and I am so happy that I was able to fulfill that since there aren't a whole lot of levels this hard without Canadian victors unless you enter the top 10. I knew after Thinking Space that I wanted to do a new 2nd hardest but I decided very early on that I wanted it to be very close in difficulty to Firework in order to keep up my momentum. I do not regret picking this at all, it was such an awesome experience but what I never expected was that I would actually end up finding it harder than Firework. They are close on the list but it is a very easy choice to make for me. This level has both the hardest ship and hardest wave in any level I have played (not really a surprise since I haven't played much around this difficulty) but holy they were such a pain throughout nearly the whole experience. The ship at 48 is just the hardest part in any level I have ever played. It took so long to get any consistency for it and I always retained a very low passrate for it even in runs. There is also the stupid wave at 80, the ending which also killed me in nearly every run. It's such a high cps part that I struggled to get any consistency for it early on because I was struggling to even match the cps required in the 3 triple clicks. Thankfully, this wave actually did get a little bit consistent towards the end of the experience and I started doing a lot more runs to 100 but it was very brutal early on and it very well could have killed me from 0 more than 10 times. I don't know how I was so fortunate from 0. I originally struggled so much with even getting to 48. The predrop paired with the early parts of the drop were so precise that I did not think I would ever get much better at them but eventually I was able to start getting many 48 attempts each session. By this point, I knew that I was close to the endgame and I just had to start passing that ship in order to have a shot at beating it, which thankfully came very quickly. The balancing in this level is weird, I used to call it a first half heavy level where the 2 hardest parts are in the 2nd half but now I think it is just more 2nd half heavy. The first half did get consistent and anyone who is better than me at the game probably wouldn't struggle anywhere near as much as I did. It is also the first level that has required me to change my way of thinking for the game. I basically had to rewire my brain in order to focus hard enough throughout the entirety of my sessions. There is 0 room to autopilot in this level, every click is so precise and hard so if you are not 100% focused you will not have a very good time staying consistent. I am very excited to put this new mental state into practice on easier levels to see if I can just be more consistent overall. I'll say once more that I consider this a new hardest, and I think it should be moved above Firework on the list. Each part of this level is harder than every part in Firework except maybe the 35 cube and the amount of focus this takes is so much more than the amount that Firework takes. Overall, this was a grueling, yet amazing experience and I am so thrilled to have played another top 25 so soon after beating Firework. This took a lot out of me so I will be taking it easy for a while now to give myself a rest :) Thank you to everyone who watched and supported my progress with this.
