Take every opertunity to educate your children on life, and on the teachings of the Holy Scriptures, as a lamp unto their feet, and a light unto their paths. "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path." (Psalms 119:105) "It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4b) "You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up." (Deuteronomy 6:7) Parents, if you call yourselves Christians; do not hinder your children from coming to God. Counter the hedonism and lawlessness of the culture before they come of age. Plant the seeds of faith in God and of Salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. "Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish." (Ephesians 5:15-17a) "According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 3:10-11)
