Our Summer Solstice vigil 2024

Hello, we are finally back on track with getting videos up on the channel and what better energy to start with but the Summer Solstice. We decided to go to a local Iron Age hill fort near us called Devil's Dyke, it is a favourite place with many folk and with us. It was quite busy when we got there with folk watching the sun go down, also visiting the pub. There were a lot of cars, bikes and noisy youth enjoying the summer weather, so instead of having our quiet drumming, we have given you one of Damh's tracks, Noon of the Solstice to accompany our images. Over three nights the sun appears to rise and fall in the same place before it begins its new cycle, so we have acknowledged with several small rituals as well as this night of observance. The morning was a lot quieter and truly beautiful. We laughed a lot and contemplated deeply too, it felt wonderful and transformative.
