We’ve had three straight weekends of rain so we didn’t want to delay placement and day to day operation of the robot garage any further. You’ll see there are some tweaks to be made relative to the overall functionality of the setup and I’ll post a “final final” when all of that is worked out, but right now it feels Herculean to get “Kirby” and his new house out of our garage and into the yard. For any Patton Oswalt fans out there, the name Kirby is taken from his Netflix standup special entitled “I Love Everything”. He does a segment about having wallpaper installed and “Kirby” is the the whole joke but you don’t see it coming. Patton weaves stories with perfect cadence and relatable hilarity; if you’re in the mood for a good laugh I recommend the special. “Dammit Kirby” is something we’ve said in our house for years. No rest for the weary; trimming bushes, re-mulching, some planting, and possibly a relocation of the “garage” to the back side of our house. That’s on top of the garage cleanup. This build has been underway for almost 3 months working only on weekends (some of the 3D printed parts were designed at night while I watched tv 😁). I hope that everyone else planning a build like this has more free time than Cameron had to make it happen.
