June 22, 2025 ... We travelled from Batakundi to Astore after crossing over the Babusar Top. We spent the previous night in Hotel 22, Batakundi, a newly built and comfortable property. We departed early from Batakundi. First came Lulusar Lake. Loved the scenary. Winding road took us to the top of the Babusar Top, more than 4200 meters high above the sea level. We felt heart broken to see mushroom growth of ugly structures. After Babusar we descended onto a winding road, finally ending at the sizzling hot Chilas ... We turned north and later turned right towards Astore. The road was dry but still picturesque. Finally we reached Astore. We stayed at the beautiful and comfortable C&W Rest House. After arrival we went for a hike.
