He has been a full professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Visiting Professor at City University London, Visiting Fellow at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where has taught New Ventures: building Innovation-driven Entreperprises in growth markets in 2023. Since Januray 2024, he is Senior Manager of AI and Machine Learning at the Boeing Company. He pioneered work on Neurosymbolic AI as a means to integrate sound symnbolic reasoning and interpretable machine learning. His current research interests focus neurosymbolic AI, trustworthy AI, and interpretable models of machine learning and reasoning.
