INGREDIENTS 2 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 2 sticks butter at room temperature 1/2 cup white granulated sugar 1 cup packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 eggs at room temperature 3 cups chocolate chips Blue food gel color INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350 F degrees and prepare your baking sheet. Combine the butter with both sugars; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; add the salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well mixed, about 1 minute. Add flour and mix until just combined. Add in 3 - 4 drops of blue food gel color and slowly mix until color is incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips. Chill cookie dough for 20 minutes in freezer or refriderate overnight. Drop heaping tablespoon-size balls of dough about 1 inch apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake until cookies are golden around the edges, but still soft in the center, 10-11 minutes Remove from oven, and let cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool completely.
