Sanok, a city in the Podkarpacie region, currently inhabited by just over 34 thousand people. This town is only about 60 km from the border with Ukraine. It is primarily associated with Grzegorz's castle, the San, "Autosan", or Zdzisław Beksiński. Above all, it is quite a charming town, which I hope I will be able to prove in my film. A small, compact market square, an interesting promenade, the Royal Castle, or the impressive Museum of Folk Architecture. Interesting facts about Sanok: 1. Sanok County is one of the oldest oil mining centers in the world - the first refinery and oil mines existed here before 1884. 2. Currently, Sanok consists of seven districts, which are: Śródmieście, Wójtostwo, Posada, Dąbrówka, Olchowce, Zatorze, Błonie. 3. The first settlements in Sanok were founded at the turn of the 10th and 11th centuries. The city obtained city rights in 1339. 4. There is a skating track in Sanok called Błonie – it is one of the few facilities of this type in the whole country. 5. Since 1958, the Museum of Folk Architecture has been operating in the city all year round, which is a large open-air museum. You can see over 100 wooden buildings from the 18th to the 20th century there.
