I've been really excited to share this episode of Stray Recon with you all. Meet Kala. She's a 5-year-old German Shepherd that I caught as a stray in the desert. No one is sure if she escaped or was dumped. Whatever the case, this dog was out there for months doing her best to survive. Some neighbors noticed her running around out there and started leaving her food and water. They tried catching her time and again, but her trust in humans was so low they couldn't get near her. Lisa Arturo from Big Love Animal Rescue heard about her, so I met her in the desert to find Kala. We formed a game plan and executed it with precision.
