Checks have confirmed that the car is the 6th rarest colour of the year it was built in 1988 and was one of only two built in this colour combination. The colour suits the car and is very period for the late 80’s. The bodywork is a remarkably well-preserved example of the breed with none of the wobbly panels commonly found on a resin structure car. The 16” Lotus Alloy wheels are in great shape and are shod with matching 205/50ZR16 tyres all of which still have good tread. A lovely feature to see is that both front lights are working perfectly as do the other electrics of the car. Under the bonnet sits the Lotus embossed engine 2.2 Engine that runs exceptionally well and we have in the office, a substantial history file detailing the regular maintenance carried out to the vehicle over the past few years. Early history is limited. A point to draw to your attention to is that although the cars speedo reads 44,176 it is detailed in the history that the car had a replacement speedo fitted and has in fact done an additional 19,596 miles, confirmed by Lotus themselves who were the original registered keeper for the 1st few years of its life. The mileage indicated on the speedo, 44,176 is the recorded mileage since Lotus sold the car so averaging approximately 1,450 pa over the past 30 or so years.
