I have no idea how Steam can just do these things and not inform anyone. Not the people that develop and publish the games nor the people that buy and play the games. If I wouldnt have uninstalled Agony Unrated at that time I wouldnt have known about this at all. Maybe would have found out about this a year or so later. Reading the news posts of the publisher of the game, Madmind Studio, gave some clarity on what had happened. So Steam de-linked Agony and Agony Unrated which in turn removed the game from my library because I only bought Agony and received the Unrated version as a bonus. Still kinda bullshit because even if I receive it at a bonus, I still bought it. So technically that means that Steam can just take away anything that you didnt directly buy and only got as a bonus. Naturally I contacted Steam Support about this and I wasnt thrilled. They are a mixed bag when it comes to being helpful. Depending on who is reviewing your help request you might get someone that can and will actually help you or you get the people that barely have a clue what your problem even is. The part I forgot to talk about "Region Restrictions on Steam" is also unrelated to the issue since it only talks about buying products that are restricted to certain regions. Since Steam Support was not helpful in the slightest I decided to e-mail the developer and publisher of the game, Madmind Studio, since they offered to help people with this problem. I gave it a couple of weeks but did not receive a reply. Very disappointing. So I was thinking about this problem some more and then it struck me. I could just use the same solution I used in another problem of mine. Then pasted it into my browser URL bar together with the command to run it. steam://run/1921050 This prompts (Steam to start up) Steam to install/run said game. Since its DLC for the base game Agony, it needs to try and run it through that and to do so it has to add the DLC to my library. Note that this only works with free DLC that doesnt have to go through the purchase process. The install prompt showed up and that tells me that it worked. After checking the properties of Agony in my library I suddenly found a DLC tab that shows the original date I purchased it. For a moment I was thinking: "Was it always there and I just didnt notice in my anger?" But no, it wasnt always there. After weeks of trying to get help through the channels that are meant to help and being disappointed at the lack of help, the only real help I got was from myself.
