Knowing our identity in Christ empowers us to walk in confidence as royal sons and daughters with power and spiritual authority, and also in humility to serve and care for others. Jesus modeled this in John 13, “knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper… and began to wash the disciples’ feet.” As sons and daughters of God, we learn to rule with the heart of a servant and serve with the heart of a king, representing our Heavenly Father and His deep love and care for the people He created.
