Supporters of Mohammed Morsi forced a cameramen off the roof of a van and threw rocks at a satellite news truck outside the venue where the former president is on trial as they vented their rage at media outlets seen as being pro-regime. Muslim Brotherhood supporters forced a Telegraph journalist to delete mobile phone footage he had captured of the scene and followed him to prevent him filming more. "I don't think Mr Morsi thinks he is going to get a fair trial anyway but beating up journalists outside a trial where your leader is up for inciting violence doesn't seem to me a very sensible way to proceed," said the Telegraph's Middle East correspondent Richard Spencer, who was in court. The judge in the trial of the country's deposed Islamist president and 14 others adjourned the hearing soon after it started because the defendants' chanting was disrupting the proceedings. Mr Morsi and the others are charged with inciting murder and could face the death penalty if convicted.
