Sony CDP-297. Sony modern CD player which is surprising in many ways.

This unit features Sony KSS-240A mechanism and emits only around 50µW of power (normally player have the strength of the bean set to 100µW and regularly more than that for modern designs). I have only seen some Arcams FMJs that could do this and maybe one other player which escaped from my memory. With this low power it tracks very well, plays CD-Rs, skips to next track instantly and does fast searches both forward and back as good as the best of them. But has very basic power supply, no digital output and it is empty inside.
