With only a few variables and a bit of logic you can bring that mechanic into your RPG Maker game as well. In this video we build out a success based mechanic and demo it using a skill that can be tried over and over and a skill that can only be tried once. Having skill checks in your game opens up so much opportunity for puzzles, more interesting dialogue, and creating mini-games that are not dependent on combat stats.
