Here, there is no fence between the two territories. The animals roam freely, and that changes everything. From the very first kilometers in the 4x4, I sense that the experience will be different, more intimate, more intense. Very quickly, encounters follow one after another. I see elephants crossing the track with impressive calm. The rhinoceroses, massive and silent, appear almost suddenly in the savanna. Each observation is made at a respectful distance, in a silence broken only by the vehicle's engine and the ranger's precise explanations. But what Sabi Sand is most renowned for are its leopards. Lions are never far away. The ranger explains their behavior, the group's hierarchy, and their hunting strategies. Here, a safari is not simply a succession of images; it's a living interpretation of the African savanna. The Sabi Sand private reserve also distinguishes itself by the quality of its safaris. There are numerous tracks, the vehicles communicate with each other, and the outings take place at dawn and dusk, the most favorable times for wildlife viewing.
