Wimius T7 3000 lumen projector review

This is an entry level/budget projector with a medium sized body which makes it less obtrusive in smaller rooms than the larger, more expensive options plus of course it's cheaper. The picture is of a good quality for it's price range and it is a 3000 Lumen brightness which is nearly that of more expensive units. I do have a larger projector for downstairs and garden use which is higher resolution and slightly brighter (3200 lumens) but this one has a permanant place in my bedroom. As far as connectivity is concerned it has 2 USB ports, 2 HDMI, a video composite in, vga/monitor port in, 3.5mm audio in and 3.5mm audio out. I'm using it in a fairly small room and haven't really got the room for a larger unit so I find this one is ideal for me. I also watch a lot of movies late at night and find the 3.5mm audio out is really useful. I plug a bluetooth transmitter into it and listen through my headphones and my larger unit does not have that facility. The speakers it comes with are good enough to listen to the action but you will probably want to use a home cinema sound system to get a much better experience. I just plug it in to a small soundbar I have. It's worth noting that you do not get the audio RCA connectors that you normally get with more expensive projectors. A (very) minor quibble is that if you have been listening via the unit's speakers and then plug a device into the 3.5mm audio jack, the sound from the speakers is not automatically cut off. You can do this via one of the sound menus (select 'line' as the sound source) but it can catch you out if you forget to do it late at night then suddenly get sound blasting through the internal speakers if you plug in headphones. There is some fan noise but it's actually not bad. Better than my bigger one and not that noticable in general use. There are several image and sound parameters you can change within the menu, both predefined and user defined. I'm projecting from around 2.4mtrs from the screen and getting an image size of 160cm x xxx (187cm diagonal).
