Nexuiz Classic - FOSS Game Soundtrack

Nexuiz Classic was a very popular free and open source multiplayer arena shooter based on a heavily modified version of the Dark Places source port. Originally developed by Alientrap and a community of open source developers since 2005, the game was notoriously involved in a controversy when Alientrap sold the rights to the Nexuiz name and logo to the Colorado based game development studio IllFonic in 2012. IllFonic then proceeded to release an unrelated arena shooter titled Nexuiz for the Xbox 360 console, while the open source developers behind the original Nexuiz game forked the project to continue developing the game without Alientrap or IllFonic. Nowadays, Nexuiz Classic has been mostly superseeded by this fork, titled Xonotic.
