Ford 10R80 Transmission Complete Fluid & Filter Service (Tips and Tricks)

In this video I show the steps and procedures necessary to complete a service on a Ford 10R80 transmission. ford recomends you service this transmission every 60k miles. At first glance this seems like a very difficult job since there are multiple heat shields and an auxiliary cooler that you need to move out of the way in order to drop the pen. But overall this is not too difficult of a job. Since this transmission pan does not have a drain bolt, you’ll need to unbolt the pan in order to drain the transmission fluid and expose the filter. A little check that I show in the video is to siphon out some of the fluid before you drop the pan. This makes the job a lot cleaner. Below are links to parts and tools are used during this video.
