4,000 lbs Block Wall Collapses in Front of Customer | Operators First Day

We’re starting the day off right wrapping up the last of the masonry removal from our recent house demolition. From there, we hit the road to one of our retaining wall projects, and I catch a call with a clearing customer to talk through logistics along the way. We get to the wall site, the guys are hustling, but things took a sharp turn. Between the crew not following instructions and a brand-new operator (first day on the job!) getting too loose with the machine, disaster struck—right in front of the customer too. But as always, the work doesn’t stop when things go sideways. We game-planned to fix the damage, wrapped up the day, and introduced another new team member, whose first day was a bit smoother than the other's. Y'all know I'm all about not hiding the reality of working in the trades, especially being a trades business owner. Sometimes shit happens and you have to learn from it and keep going.
