Today, we examine a 1937 Wurlitzer Organ that was originally installed in the Ritz cinema in Barnsley. The organ was inaugurated by organist Robinson Cleaver, but it is most closely associated with Trevor Willetts, who served as the resident organist from 1943 to 1962. The organ was removed in 1969, prior to the cinema's closure and subsequent demolition. The Wurlitzer now resides in a private home where it has been expanded from 7 ranks to 12.
