UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS, CHICAGO The best way to get to know the University of Illinois Chicago is to experience it yourself. UIC offers several options for exploring campus. Explore our live presentations, connect with an admissions counselor, request an appointment and more. UIC’s campus spans 250 acres. To the east, students will find the corner of Halsted and Harrison streets. The Illinois Medical District is at the heart of the west side of campus and the exciting University Village is a popular spot for students just south of Roosevelt Road. Start your tour of campus at the UIC Visitors Center located in our Student Services Building. The east and south sides of campus are home to the majority of undergraduate housing and nine of our 16 colleges. Academics cover the arts and humanities, basic sciences, business, social work, education, engineering and urban planning. You’ll also find the Student Services Building, Richard J. Daley Library, Student Center East and the Student Recreation Facility. UNDER GRADUATE Current high school students, as well as high school graduates applying for college for the first time, should apply as first-year students. First-year applications are accepted only for the fall semester. Learn more about requirements and deadlines for first-year applications Use the transfer application if you are a transfer student, seeking readmission to UIC, applying for a second bachelor’s degree or are applying for non-degree study. Requirements and application deadlines for transfer admission vary depending on which college you choose. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS If you've studied outside of the U.S. you can enter the name of the country in which you've studied below to see the academic credentials, qualifications and English proficiency requirements for your application to UIC. The Academic Credentials section will indicate the types of credentials that would be needed for either First Year or Transfer applicants. The Academic Qualifications section will list the different minimum qualifications for undergraduate study at UIC, though Transfer applicants may have additional coursework or qualifications beyond the post-secondary level. There will also be an indication of whether or not English proficiency test scores are required. GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONALS International applicants are those where any of the following statements apply: • You would need a student visa to study in the U.S. • You are currently in the U.S. on a student visa at another institution. • You are currently in the U.S. on a non-student visa, such as an H1B, H4, B1, Pakistan English Proficiency Required? Yes Academic Qualifications: 4-6 year bachelor / master following completion of 3 year bachelor. Academic Credentials Required: Official mark sheets/transcripts/records; official certification of degree and date awarded; documents required in English only.
