Also even 1 HP OWS can process coconuts The disadvantages are · High-speed operation – Noise during shredding, operator safety training required · Wear parts – Hammers, the screen will gradually wear off and will require replacement as per the machine usage. · Jamming – long, fibrous items may get wound on rotter and can cause a jam. In such case, the cutting chamber needs to be open to remove the coiled material. Also, feeding should be gradual.
