In this video we cover one of the most debated topics regarding the british car industry and its decline the Triumph car which some have attributed to one of the worst sports cars ever made the TR7 and declared one of the biggest British Leyland disasters sometimes being likened as BLs DeLorean DMC12. We cover the Triumph car from its birth to death from the Gloria to the brilliant Stag 2000 2500 PI and more and analysing what killed the Triumph name revealing the mistakes that led to it's decline. This is the story of the rise and fall of one of the greatest car manufacturers and marques Britain has ever known, from the Triumph Stag, 2000 and Dolomite to the Gloria and the Acclaim. Charting its missed opportunities at the hands of British Leyland and the many industrial and managerial issues that led to its ultimate downfall. Just a note; not all was bad with British leyland and the British car industry isn’t dead it is very much alive.
