(Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Port Orange, Florida — On March 19, 2024, at approximately 12:19 a.m., Port Orange Police Department officers were dispatched to a well-being check, in reference to a reported subject. One officer was attempting contact at the front of the residence while a second officer was behind the residence also attempting contact. The subject exited the front door of the residence, armed with a large kitchen knife. The subject began charging toward one officer with the knife in hand and was given several commands to drop the knife. The officer fired three rounds from his department issued handgun, wounding the subject.
