This tool can be used to not only check your planter depth, but more importantly, Set It! Main block is 1" planter depth, while the addition of 1/2" stackable inserts can give you a 1.5, 2, or a 2.5" planter depth. You can either lower the planter unit down onto the Set-N-Seed, or use a floor jack to raise the Set-N-Seed up to calibrate and or set the planter depth. Seed Depth may vary from row to row due to row unit wear. The Set-N-Seed will eliminate this variation if calibrated depth is completed on each planter row.
