This video features a full Traditional Thai Massage session as taught and practiced at Zion Massage College, demonstrating all four primary client positions: supine, side-lying, prone, and seated. The flow in this session was choreographed by Rebecca Farraway, drawing from over 25 years of Thai Massage training, practice, and teaching. The sequence reflects a lineage-informed, experience-based approach that emphasizes continuity, adaptability, and thoughtful progression through each position. The session highlights the foundational principles of Traditional Thai Massage, including mindful pacing, intentional touch, clear transitions, and sustainable body mechanics. Working on a mat, the practitioner uses rhythmic compression, passive stretching, joint mobilization, and energetic awareness along the sen lines to create an integrated, whole-body experience. You’ll notice: • Seamless transitions between supine, side-lying, prone, and seated positions • A calm, meditative flow that supports nervous system regulation • Skillful use of body weight and leverage rather than muscular force • Clear attention to client comfort, communication, and safety • Grounded body mechanics that support practitioner longevity Traditional Thai Massage is often described as “lazy yoga,” but at its heart it is a moving meditation, a therapeutic dialogue between practitioner and receiver guided by breath, rhythm, and presence. This session reflects the depth and nuance that come from long-term study and hands-on teaching. This video is intended for educational and professional development purposes for massage therapists and Thai Massage students. Filmed during hands-on training at Zion Massage College Includes all four Traditional Thai Massage positions Flow choreographed from decades of lived practice and teaching
