【Cover】 Brothers Forever: For the Sake of Mutual Proof 【Tales of Xillia 2】

¤ ¤ Notes ¤ ¤ Yes ... Yes we're still on the feels train ... :')! Reasoning for the lyrics below: This took me a lot longer than I expected, what with figuring out appropriate lyrics to fit with each of the brothers and how to meld them together to create a story that spans the entirety of Xillia 2. In the end there weren't enough verse sections, so I decided to start at the point of Chapter 15 with consideration of what happens beforehand. I feel like in Chapter 15 when the choice is made and you go toward the Good/True Ending, this song--a remix of the Hymn of Proof--is not only seeking mutual proof, but seeking mutual understanding. It is both a song of farewell and of apologies, of knowing what ultimately must be done to save the future. In doing so, the final verse of the brothers (and their humming at the same time) is a signifier that the only way is if they both sacrifice themselves to protect the perfect world that they longed for, even if they will no longer be there. This then continues to the actual Hymn of Proof (Version: Ludger) that I uploaded previously, which would be Ludger's personal farewell after having parted from his brother in For the Sake of Mutual Proof.
