For better understanding, see the previous lecture • Warp Knitting | Understanding the Basics a... After the previous lecture, we can now proceed to the basic lap or stitches in warp knitting. Here we can clearly see that, similar to the weft knitting all warp knitted structure can be easily explained by the five basic stitches i.e. Pillar, Tricot, Cord, Atlas, and Satin. Pillar stitch runs along one wale, the same needle is used to knit the succeeding lap. Tricot has 1 and 1 movement, i.e. one lap in one needle and second lap is in the adjacent needle of the following course. Similarly, cord has 2 and 1 movement, satin has 3 and 1, atlas is completely different from the rest of them. Atlas has four types, they are: 1. Tricot Type Atlas 2. Cord Type Atlas 3. Satin Type Atlas 4. Velvet Type Atlas Velvet is similar to the satin, whereas it has 4 and 1 lap movement. Hence, the segregation of Atlas lap has similar variation in them. For better understanding you can use: Knitting Technology by David J. Spencer, Page 294-295 of 3rd edition. And also you can request here for an elaborate lecture of a particular topic covered by our lecturer. Obviously, I am not a pro animator. But, learning. Hope that, one day this channel will grow to a such extent that someone will notice this writing and laugh about it. This is just a reminder that you can if you want. And, if this channel fails, skeptically, it has a higher chance of failing, then this small easter egg will go unnoticed and no harm done.
