Las Lloronas talk about their debut album at the Toots Sessie they played. Sura Solomon, Amber in 't Veld, and Marieke Werner met at university. Their shared passion for art, activism and music became the foundation for their band Las Lloronas. The three of them combine 5 different backgrounds (American, German, Spanish, Dutch and Belgian), and as much colour and variation can be found in their songs. In their acoustic music, they combine slam and blues, Spanish folk and Jewish klezmer. In different languages, they bring a poetic message of feminism and tolerance.
