I’m a dry cleaner, and this is a speed-run of how I do laundry: 1️⃣ Sort by color (and weight if you can) – keep dark dyes off your whites and lint off your darks. 2️⃣ Pretreat stains – trust me, it saves lives (of garments). 3️⃣ Read the care label – those little hieroglyphs matter. 4️⃣ Start simple: 2 tbsp of detergent or 1 pod, then scale up. Modern formulas are strong. 5️⃣ Boosters, oxygen bleach, sanitizers = your friends. 6️⃣ Cold water works for most loads. Hot = cleaner but also harsher. 7️⃣ Check stains before drying – heat will lock them in. 8️⃣ Air-dry if possible, or pull clothes slightly damp to prevent wrinkles & static. What I avoid: detergent sheets, softeners, scent beads, dryer sheets. What I love: powder detergent, cold water, express cycle, pretreating, air drying, and keeping it sustainable!
