Barely 48 hours after the launch of E- Naira, Nigeria’s Digital currency, the Central Bank of Nigeria has raised the alarm that impostors are already defrauding people using fake social media handles. In another development, social media was abuzz on Wednesday, following reports that the E-Naira speed wallet disappeared from Google Play Store after 100 thousand downloads. CBN claimed that the ‘speed wallet’ disappeared because an upgrade was needed.. and disclosed that they won’t bear the liability for losses caused by the #eNaira website. Ohanaeze Ndigbo, appealed to the group on Wednesday to rescind the threat to enable the Governorship election for Anambra State, scheduled for November 6th to hold.
