FISHERMAN DIED ON BOARD Thu Jan 03 22:00:13 CET 2019 Timsen On Jan 3, 2019 at 01h20, the CROSS Corsen was alerted by the "Taranis" after one of its crew members has been found inanimate aboard. The fishing vessel with a crew of six on board was 45 miles west of Ouessant. Following a conference call with the Maritime Medical Consultation Center (CCMM) in Toulouse, the Maritime Medical Coordination SAMU of Finistère and the ship, the base CROSS deployed a Cayman helicopter from the naval aviation of Lanvéoc-Poulmic with a medical team on board. It reached the trawler at 3:10 a.m. and proceeded to hoist the medical team on board. In spite of the care provided, the doctor could only note the death of the fisherman. The body of the deceased fisherman was then transferred by helicopter to the hospital La Cavale Blanche in Brest, where he was handed over to the medical staff shortly before 5 a.m. The trawler made its way to the port of Brest, where it arrived early in the morning Thank you for watching.
