Title 1: GEOSPATIAL AI IN SUPPORT OF UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS [UNSDGs] Speaker 1: Dr MARIA ANTONIA BROVELLI Details: Dr Brovelli is a distinguished academician and researcher with a Ph.D. in Geodesy & Cartography. She is a Professor of GIS and EO, Copernicus Green Revolution for Sustainable Development at Politecnico di Milano (Polimi). Her contributions extend beyond academia, and currently she holds key positions in various international organisations, Vice-President of the ISPRS TC on Spatial Information Science, co-chair of the UN OpenGIS Initiative, and Member of the Advisory Board of the UN-GGIM Academic Network. And she was involved in ESA's Advisory Committee of Earth Observation. Her research in geomatics covers diverse areas, including geodesy, radar-altimetry, Big Geo Data, GEOAI etc., . Dr Brovelli has received awards such as the ISPRS President's Honorary Citation in 2020 and OSGeo in 2015. Title 2: DRIVING INNOVATION THROUGH GEOSPATIAL IN AND PNT TECHNOLOGIES – ROLE OF TIH AT IIT TIRUPATI Speaker 2: Dr ROSHAN K SRIVASTAV Details: Dr. Srivastav is a Project Director of the Technology Innovation Hub at the Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. His research harnesses advanced computational, statistical, and GIS techniques to to tackle pressing challenges in water security, urban watershed management, reservoir operations, and climate resilience. He spearheads initiatives in geospatial and remote sensing technologies, Positioning, Navigation and Timing Technologies and interdisciplinary research, driving impactful advancements in sustainability and resilience. Dr. Roshan Srivastav has been honoured with numerous accolades, including the Prestigious AGU Berkner Fellowship, MLTACS Accelerate Fellowship, National Geospatial Faculty Fellow Award at the 2024 National Geospatial Awards by FOSSEE, IIT Bombay.
