The Long Dark Survival – Exploring the Abandoned Lookout (PART 39)

I start the day in the Quonset Garage, reading survival books and spending time outside to fight off cabin fever. After organizing supplies, I head out on a scouting trip beyond town. Along the way I gather old man’s beard, reishi mushrooms, and acorns, and manage to hunt a few rabbits before a blizzard forces me to shelter in a trailer for the night. The next morning, I cook rabbit meat and climb a rope up the cliffs, only to spot another bear nearby — forcing me to retreat. After regrouping, I continue searching the area, eventually following a snow-covered road. On the way, I fight off an aggressive wolf, tracking it down to harvest its meat and hide. At the end of the road, I discover an abandoned firewatch lookout, where I sadly find someone who froze to death. After respectfully clearing the space, I set it up as a potential safehouse.
