Moreover, I have shared some interesting facts regarding these places which you should find informative. Green Dome The Green Dome is a green-colored dome built above the tomb of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and early Muslim Caliphs, Abu Bakr and Umar. The dome is located in the southeast corner of Al-Masjid al-Nabawi (Mosque of the Prophet) in Medina. The structure dates back to 1279 CE when an unpainted wooden cupola was built over the tomb. It was later rebuilt and painted using different colors twice in the late 15th century and once in 1817. The dome was first painted green in 1837, and hence became known as the "Green Dome". Sacred Chamber The Prophet ﷺ is buried in the Sacred Chamber, along with two of his most faithful companions and the first two caliphs of Islam, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab. The Sacred Chamber was once the house (hujra) of his wife Aisha – the house in which he was staying at the time of his physical demise. Today, it forms part of the Masjid Nabawi complex and is the most venerated tomb in the world. The graves are surrounded by several walls which have no windows or doors and thus can’t be seen or accessed. The Sacred Chamber, also referred to as the Sacred Prophetic Chamber is located in the south-eastern section of Masjid Nabawi. The chamber is demarcated by gold and green copper and iron railing. The northern and southern sides of the chamber are 16 meters long and its eastern and western sides are 15 meters long. The walls of this chamber were first built in 678 AH / 1282 AD by al-Zahir Baybaras V and were originally three meters high and made of wood. In 886 AH / 1481 CE, after the second great fire of Masjid Nabawi took place, Sultan al-Ashraf Qaitbay V replaced these walls with the railing that we see today. Part of the Rawdah is also included within this area. Riaz ul Jannah The area between the Sacred Chamber and the Pulpit (Mimbar) is known as the Riadhul Jannah i.e. Garden of Paradise. It is presently distinguished by a green carpet and is also referred to as Rawdah. Secret Pillars in Riaz ul Jannah There are eight pillars or columns inside the Rawdah area within Masjid Nabawi that hold special historical and spiritual significance, with a further two inside the Sacred Chamber. These blessed pillars stand on the exact locations where the original pillars, made from palm-tree trunks, stood after Masjid Nabawi was built during the life of the Prophet ﷺ. From that time until the present day, those who extended rebuilt, or extended the mosque were very scrupulous in preserving the original location of these pillars. These include 1) Hannaanah Pillar, 2) Aisha Pillar, 3) Tawbah Pillar, 4) Sareer Pillar, 5) Ali Pillar, 6) Wufood Pillar, 7) Tahajjud Pillar, and 8)Jibraeel pillar Time Stamps: 0:00 – Highlights 0:16 – Video details 0:52 – Asr prayers at Masjid e Nabawi 1:44 – Prophet Muhammad ﷺ visit 4:21 – Praying in Riaz ul Jannah 5:38 – Secret Pillar in Riaz ul Jannah Sources: https://hajjumrahplanner.com/masjid-n... https://www.islamiclandmarks.com/madi... https://ilmfeed.com/secrets-of-prophe... https://hajjumrahplanner.com/prophet-...
