The AssaultRower Pro is a new addition to Assault’s lineup of conditioning equipment. It is made of commercial-grade quality, but it’s a little more budget-friendly than the higher-end AssaultRower Elite. The Pro is an air rower with a fan that generates unlimited air resistance to row against. This makes it ideal for people of all fitness levels because you control the amount of air that gets sucked into the fan while rowing depending on your intensity level. Keep in mind there isn’t a damper on the fan to control how much air goes into the fan. Along with having great build quality and handling users up to 350 lbs, the AssaultRower Pro is comfortable and versatile. The seat is one of our favorites because it has nice padding and it can be locked into place when you store this rower. The handle is round, has a nice coating, and allows for single-arm rowing. The monorail is also tall so it’s easier to get on and off of. The pedals and footboards have a good amount of space in between for larger folks, beginners, and pregnant women, like me. The pedals are adjustable for different shoe sizes and the footboards are long to provide a good amount of surface to push against. The AssaultRower Pro stores upright and can be moved around. There is a rear handle to lift up the back end to tip it upright to rest on the front of the fan. Also when you tilt it up, this engages the front transport wheels so you can move it around when needed. It only weighs around 109 lbs so it’s fairly easy to move. The console is pretty standard and similar to other equipment from Assault Fitness. It tracks your metrics and allows for interval training and targeted workout settings.
