Whether the lamp post won't light, or whether the light never turns off, the solution is the same - you need to replace the photo cell, which is the sensor that tells the light when to turn on and off. Measure the diameter of the photo cell and purchase a new one. Also, pick up some wire nuts if they aren't included with the photo cell. Below are our Amazon links so you can purchase the Woods Pro Hardwired Button Photo Control Sensor: https://amzn.to/32YYsfK Electrical Wire Nut Connectors: https://amzn.to/2ItgMnU BEFORE YOU START: 1) Turn off power at your circuit panel for the circuit that operates your lamp post. 2) Unscrew the photo sensor, remove the lamp post cap and pull out all of the wires and old photo sensor from the lamp post. 3) Sketch a diagram of the connections before you remove any wire nuts!!! Plus take photos and video so you will be able to install the new photo cell properly. Next remove all wire nuts. Discard the wire nuts and old sensor. Use new wire nuts to connect the new sensor exactly how the old sensor was connected. Push the wires and new sensor into the lamp post. Fasten the photo cell dial that keeps the cell secure. Replace the cap. Turn on the power. If it is daytime, the light won't come on unless you block the photo cell with your hand.
