UPDATING 25.09.14 AT THE TIME OF RECORDING THE BB HAD VERY OLD STRINGS AND A LOWER ACTION THAN VB - I REPLACED STRINGS AND NOW IT SOUNDS MUCH BETTER - ANYWAY, THOUGH I ALWAYS PREFER BB SOUND THAN VB I HAVE TO SAY THAT VB WHEN NOT CONNECTED TO AMPLI AND WITH NO CHORDS, IS MORE RESONANT ! I DON'T KNOW WHY ! MAYBE BECAUSE IS OLDER THAN BB AND WITH A MORE SEASONED WOOD ? ANY IDEA ? First of all let me say that this is not a professional or high quality test: I had some problems in the recording with a backgorund noise, especially in the last part that was recorded with a cheap behringer condenser mic put near the speaker of my Fender super champ X2. All the other parts are recorded through my Zoom g3x using a fender combo simulation in the clean parts, and a Tone City simulation in the crunch parts! The last part is completely dry. No effects, only the clean channel of fender super champ X2. I made this mainly because there's a lot of people asking the difference between these guitars and alnico 3 and 5 and there's no comparison test yet on youtube, and just because i'm curious to hear people opinions about. I've got my idea and my favourite one, but i'll tell you later.:-). I really hope this could be a little help for someone, especially young musicians who are attracted by telecaster and cannot afford an american one. :-) - Pick up sequence: Neck - Bridge - Both
