The plaintiff paid the defendant half the cost of a car, telling him she’d have the other half once she got her tax return. Unfortunately, it got delayed, so she asked the defendant if she could finance the rest. He got nasty and she decided to not do business with him. She is suing for the return of the money she already spent. The defendant says he held the car for 52 days after she paid for half of it, and then she just changed her mind.
