Having the right tools handy when you are out geocaching adds to the fun and enables you to complete more finds! You need to be prepared so you can get to the log and sign it. Read the cache description and hints and possibly even comments from others to get an idea about what you may encounter at that particular geocache. It doesn't take a lot of equipment but you should be ready with the basic tools of the trade; at a minimum, bring an ink pen, flashlight, tweezers and a log roller (cotter pen). Id also recommend spare logs, a multi-tool, pocket knife, mechanical grabbers, items to trade, mirror. A backpack or other type bag make it easy to grab it and go!
