Grand Celebration of “Sambhrama 2025–26” at Sat Sanskar International School, Belagavi Belagavi, December 30, 2025: The Annual Day celebrations of Sat Sanskar International School were marked by a graceful classical dance presentation titled “Maha Ganapathim Manasa Smarami.” The devotional composition, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, was beautifully performed by girl students of Standards VII, VIII and IX, captivating the audience with their discipline, devotion, and artistic expression. The students appeared on stage in vibrant Bharatanatyam costumes, resembling traditional silk sarees stitched specially for classical dance. The attire included a brightly coloured costume with golden borders and a pleated fan in the front, which opened gracefully as the dancers bent their knees in the classical aramandi posture. The dancers were adorned with temple jewellery such as necklaces, bangles, waist belts, earrings, and head ornaments representing the sun and the moon, along with fragrant flowers woven into their braided hair. Anklets with small bells, known as ghungroos, produced rhythmic sounds that blended harmoniously with the music. As the music began, the students invoked Lord Ganesha with folded hands in Anjali Mudra, symbolising prayer and reverence. Their precise footwork, rhythmic stamping, graceful hand gestures (mudras), and expressive facial movements transformed the devotional song into a living visual story. The synchronized movements highlighted the beauty of classical dance where body language, rhythm, and expression combine to convey meaning and emotion. The dancers moved across the stage in perfect coordination, forming elegant patterns and poses that reflected devotion and discipline. Each step matched the rhythm of the Carnatic composition, and the expressive gestures portrayed the glory of Lord Ganesha—the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom. The performance received loud applause from the audience, including parents, teachers, and guests. The dance not only showcased the students’ talent but also reflected the school’s commitment to promoting Indian classical arts and cultural heritage among young learners. The programme added grace and spiritual charm to the school’s anniversary celebration, leaving the audience mesmerized by the beauty of classical dance rendered by the young performers of Sat Sanskar International School. The event, titled “Sambhrama 2025–26,” was conducted in two vibrant sessions—morning and evening—witnessing the active participation of students, parents, staff, and distinguished dignitaries.
