𝙁𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙨 (𝙊𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙨) is the debut solo exhibition of 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗮, at Emami Art. The exhibition brings together a significant body of oil paintings, watercolour drawings, and graphite works. Shaped through accumulation, fragmentation, and sustained acts of looking, Gupta’s practice is grounded in deep attention. His works inhabit the space between abstraction and physical presence—where textures and forms feel almost tactile, inviting the viewer to see with a sense of touch. Painting here becomes an immersive, sensory experience, and a quiet record of time. Born in 1996 in Ranchi, Jharkhand, Vishal Kumar Gupta holds a BFA in Painting from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan (2021), and an MVA with a Gold Medal in Creative Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (2023). He is a recipient of the Nasreen Mohamedi Award (2022–2023) and is currently based in Baroda.
