LOBAR STENOSIS - TRACHEOBRONCHIAL TB

From the Division of Interventional Pulmonology, Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad, today we present an interesting case of Lobar stenosis of the Left Lower Lobe Bronchus secondary to Tracheal Bronchial Tuberculosis This 45 year old female was referred to our center after a initial bronchoscopy examination showed a Lobar web like stenosis of the Left Lower Lobe Bronchus. Her CT Scan showed complete collapse of the left upper lobe and her history confirms having has tuberculosis few years back. The diagnosis was confirmed as Tracheobronchial Tuberculosis. Diagnostic Bronchoscopy showed a pinpoint web like stenosis at the opening of Left lower Lobe Bronchus. Dilatation and Electrosurgery combined with cryo application under rigid bronchoscopy was performed successfully to establish patency of the Left Lower Lobar Bronchi.
