In this part, we clear the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. As Mipha suggests, our first goal is to get the map of Vah Ruta which also features the ability to move Ruta's Trunk and adjust how the water flow affects the dungeon. (Every Divine Beast's Map affects it somehow, and each Champion will tell you to get the map, this is because you could go straight to any Divine Beast first, not necessarily Vah Ruta). After we get the map, our goal is to activate all five of the terminals throughout Vah Ruta. These terminals are blocked off and require puzzle solving to access. Once we access all of the terminals, we need to get to the Main Control Unit which will then be lit up on the map, however once we attempt to access it, the Vah Ruta Boss will appear. WATERBLIGHT GANON, Scourge of Divine Beast Vah Ruta - 18:44 Difficulty: 4/10 Items Needed: Varies (Shock/Bomb Arrows, Spear-Type Weapons, Cryonis Rune Recommended) Waterblight Ganon's Attacks: W. Ganon can use his spear in a sweeping motion and it has a very long reach (20:20). W. Ganon can also throw his spear at us and regenerate it back to his hands at will (20:05). When in close quarters, W. Ganon can use a thrusting attack or he can use a shockwave attack by stabbing the ground. In the 2nd Phase (20:58), W. Ganon can use a laser attack like Guardians (22:00) and may use the Cryonis blocks against you (22:22). He will use more blocks depending on how much health he has left. (When the battle begins, take Waterblight Ganon's picture for the Compendium if you want to, as this is your only chance to get it naturally!) Strategy: In the 1st Phase, try to keep your distance and shoot him (preferably in the eye as it is his weak spot) with Shock and Bomb Arrows to get him to half health. His close quarters attacks are deadly so I recommend staying back. Make sure to use dodging accordingly! In the 2nd Phase, W. Ganon will hang from the ceiling and will attack from far. Use Bomb Arrows to shoot his eye and drop him to the ground stunned for a few melee chances. If he uses his laser, a Bomb Arrow to the eye will stop him, and if he uses Cryonis blocks, you can use Cryonis yourself to cancel and shatter them in midair. Continue bombing his eye and slashing his limp body to win. After completing the dungeon we get a free Heart Container and return to Zora's Domain. Here, we trade in 4 Spirit Orbs for a Stamina Vessel, complete the Side Quest "Luminous Stone Gathering", and talk with the King to tell him of what happened.
