In this video, I answer the fundamental question: How did we get here? How does a capable, intelligent person lose the signal to their own internal needs? Many people assume this disconnection comes from a single, massive trauma. And for some, it does. But for most high-functioning individuals, the cause is much quieter. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭: Disconnection was not a failure. It was a successful survival strategy. As I explain in this video, you likely grew up or worked in an environment where "having needs" was a liability. To survive and maintain harmony, you faced a choice: 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (fitting in) or 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 (being yourself). You chose Adaptation. And you got very, very good at it. In this video: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐚: Why smart people choose "survival" over "self." 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦: How we train ourselves to view our own needs as "noise" or "selfishness." 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭: Why you can read a room perfectly, but can't read yourself at all. This Week’s Reflection: "𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 - 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 - 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 '𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞'?"
